This coming weekend (06/29/2013) starts the 6th Intl. Conf. on Communities and Technologies (C & T 2013) in Munich. At this conference I will present my proposal for a research project and put it up for discussion.

Abstract:
IT tools to support or enable different types of team cooperation enjoy great distribution. In particular, tools from the field of social software are increasingly being used by companies and teams. In this paper a research project is motivated, which will examine the cooperation context and the tool set of young, innovative companies. The results will give an outlook on what requirements and expectations of employees will provide a working- and tool-landscape in the coming years. In addition, the research orientation is to aggregate knowledge for decision makers in young, innovative companies for the design of digital collaboration.

IT-Werkzeuge zur Unterstützung oder Ermöglichung verschiedener Arten von Team-Zusammenarbeit erfreuen sich großer Verbreitung. Insbesondere Werkzeuge aus dem Bereich der Social Software werden verstärkt von und in Teams in Unternehmen eingesetzt. In diesem Beitrag wird ein Forschungsvorhaben motiviert, welches den Zusammenarbeitskontext und den eingesetzten Werkzeug-Mix bei jungen, innovativen Unternehmen untersuchen will. Die Ergebnisse sollen einen Ausblick geben darauf, welche Anforderungen und Erwartungshaltungen Mitarbeiter an eine Arbeits- und Werkzeuglandschaft in den kommenden Jahren stellen werden. Darüber hinaus soll das Forschungsvorhaben Orientierungswissen für Entscheider in jungen, innovativen Unternehmen zur Gestaltung der digitalen Zusammenarbeit aggregieren.
